Scraped Data Cleaner & Converter

A no-code Actor for cleaning and filtering scraped data from .json or .csv files. It transforms messy datasets into structured, analysis-ready results, useful for leads, product listings, profiles, or survey data.

Key Features

• File Input: Accepts .csv or .json files uploaded directly or via an Apify Key-Value Store URL.
• Deduplication: Removes duplicate rows based on a chosen field (e.g., email, sku).
• Data Validation: Discards rows missing required data. Choose to require all listed fields or just any one.
• Empty Row Removal: Optionally filters out rows where all fields are blank or null.
• Field Filtering: Keeps only rows where a specific field matches a given value (e.g., status = active).
• Column/Key Deletion: Removes unwanted fields from every row.
• Sorting: Sorts rows by one or more fields (text, number, date), with optional descending order.
• Output: Pushes cleaned results to an Apify dataset for flexible export.

How to Use

Configure the Actor through its input form. You can apply any combination of the cleaning steps below.

1. Upload Your Data:

   • Upload a .csv or .json file directly or provide an Apify Key-Value Store URL.
   • For direct uploads, choose a storage option in the "Upload file to key-value store" window. "New temporary storage" is recommended for one-off jobs.

2. Clean & Filter:

   • Deduplicate: Specify a field name to remove duplicate rows (keeps first occurrence).
   • Remove Empty Rows: Enable to discard rows with entirely blank/null fields.
   • Required Fields: List fields that must contain data. Toggle between requiring all fields or any one field to be filled.
   • Filter by Value: Specify a field and the exact value it must contain to keep the row.
   • Remove Columns: List field/column names to delete from the dataset.
   • Sort: List fields to sort by (in priority order). Enable Sort Descending to reverse the order.

Input / Output

• Input: A .csv or .json file, provided via direct upload or an Apify Key-Value Store URL.
• Output: The cleaned dataset is pushed to your Apify dataset. From the run page or via API, you can export it in various formats including CSV, JSON, Excel, HTML, RSS, or JSONL.
