Scrapes workflow templates from n8n.io's public library, collecting detailed information for automation research and direct import into n8n.

This actor extracts data from n8n.io's template marketplace. It gathers complete information for free templates (ready for import) and basic metadata for paid ones, respecting intellectual property. Pricing is pay-per-event, charged per successfully scraped workflow.

Key Features

• Comprehensive Data Collection: For each workflow, it retrieves:

  • Basic Info: Name, description, view count, creation date, and direct n8n.io link.
  • Creator Profile: Name, username, verification status, bio, social links, and profile picture.
  • Workflow Components: List of integrations used (e.g., Gmail, Slack), step count, and assigned categories/tags.
  • Full Workflow Data (Free Templates Only): Complete JSON structure including all steps, configurations, and connections, ready to import into your n8n instance.
  • Pricing Info: Price status (free/paid), amount, and purchase link for paid templates.

• Controlled Execution: Uses Apify's pay-per-event model. You are only charged for successfully scraped workflows. Set a spending limit in your Apify account; the actor stops automatically when the limit is reached.

How to Use

Configure the actor via input settings. The main parameters are:

• search: (Optional) Keywords to filter workflows (e.g., "email automation", "slack"). Leave empty to browse all.
• maxResults: Number of workflows to collect, between 10 and 100,000.

Input/Output

Input (Configuration):
* search: String. Search query.
* maxResults: Integer. Target number of workflows (10-100,000).

Output (Dataset):
The actor stores a dataset where each item is a workflow object. A free workflow item includes all features listed above. A paid workflow item contains only the basic metadata, creator info, and integrations list—not the complete workflow JSON.

Pricing Note: You are charged per workflow item saved to the dataset. Failed requests or errors are not charged. The actor stops if it hits your maxResults count or your pre-set Apify spending limit.
