How to Use

Input Configuration

Configure the run via the Input tab. The main parameters are:

• searchUrl (string, optional): A Cars.com results page URL. If empty, uses a default search (requires zip code in the URL parameters).
• maxPages (integer, default: 100): The maximum number of results pages to scrape.
• limit (integer, default: 10000): The absolute maximum number of listings to save. The run stops when this cap is hit.
  • Note: The legacy maxItems parameter is also supported. The actor will use the smaller value between limit and maxItems.

Output Data

Each item in the output dataset represents one vehicle listing. Key fields include:

• listingId: Unique identifier (used for deduplication).
• title: Vehicle title (year, make, model, trim).
• stockType: e.g., "Used", "New", "Certified".
• price / priceText: Numeric and formatted price.
• mileage / mileageText: Numeric and formatted mileage.
• dealerName: Seller name.
• dealerRating: Star rating (if available).
• locationText: Dealer location/distance.
• link: Absolute URL to the full listing.
• imageUrl: URL of the primary photo.
• isSponsored: Boolean indicating a sponsored listing.
• badges[]: Array of tags like "Hot Car" or "Home Delivery".
